AUGUST Markets, found length and breadth of the region, are sure
to whet your appetite and you'll find everything you need in the countless
local markets, generally held on a Saturday morning, full of superb local
foods, wine and crafts, a pleasure that can only add to your discovery of the
region. On Sunday, visit our many brocantes, puces, vide-greniers and foires
brocantes (all types of antique and bric-a-brac markets). Taste the
gastronomic delights at our food fairs usually held over weekends. |

Cuxac-Cabardes Festival:
During mid-August a festival is held
over several days in the village with food, music and dancing (un Bal) until
the early hours, (don’t expect to get too much sleep) one of the largest
festivals in the area. Our house overlooks it and it ends on the last night
with a spectacular fireworks display - we have a great view of it. |
