There
is so much to do in this part of
Languedoc
in the south of
France
you could spend a lifetime and not see everything. We have a good
selection of tourism brochures and information and maps at our Chambre
d’Hote.

The
region hosts many festivals to music and is a gastronomic centre; it
even has festivals to food. In Castelnaudary they celebrate
Cassoulet the last week-end in August and La Foie au Gras the first
Sunday in December. It is the home of the world famous Roquefort
cheese, and Pelardon (goat’s cheese). The coast is famous for its
Fruits de Mer, lobster, and mussels etc, served with Aioli yummy!
Many vineyards with Chateaux which give their names to the wine
produced there and roadside “caves” offer samples of wine to
taste before you buy, and hidden gardens pepper the area.
Montpellier
has the oldest botanical gardens in
France
