Walks: There
are 2000 kilometres of well maintained, marked out pathways crossing
Aude. Many of these excellent walks to be found in Routier, of varying
lengths with great views of the Pyrenees, vineyards and fields of
sunflowers, and lots of small villages and hamlets with many ancient
ruins to explore. Discover by foot, cycle or horse the diversity of this
region: sea, mountains, and deep gorges, rolling vineyards, picturesque
villages and ancient ruins.

Hiking: The diverse countryside provides numerous
opportunities with many hiking trails, ranging in difficulty from
family-oriented trails to "extreme-descent" trails.
|
||
| Horse
riding and guided trekking: There
are plenty of local horses riding schools. Priced from 5 -15 Euros an
hour, depending on the age and experience of the rider, all day treks
can be organized. There are many trails around the area. We have a large
riding centre at Village du Cheval Goutareude in Cuxac-Cabardès. |
Cycling and Mountain
Bike Treks: This is a very
popular cycling region; Cycles are available for hire by the week
locally.
